On the Brink of a Brighter Ride: NSW's E-Scooter Legalisation

We at Bolzzen are thrilled to share some electrifying news that's revving up excitement across New South Wales! The state is considering new draft rules that would finally legalise e-scooters on bike paths and roads, opening up a new era of urban mobility. This pending change could transform how we navigate our cities, offering a green, efficient and fun alternative to traditional transport.
As a proud Sydney-based E-Scooter company with a significant presence in other states, we're eagerly anticipating the opportunity to bring our expertise and enthusiasm to NSW. This move by the government promises to enhance connectivity and ease the strain on transportation infrastructure, making e-scooters a viable option for many.
The draft rules propose age limits and speed restrictions to ensure safety: riders must be over 16, helmets are mandatory and e-scooters would have a speed limit of 20km/h on shared pathways and roads where the motor vehicle speed limit is 50km/h. This thoughtful approach aims to integrate e-scooters safely into the urban landscape, considering both riders and pedestrians.
We believe that the legalisation of e-scooters will not only help in reducing car trips and parking congestion but also enhance accessibility to train stations and local services, making our cities more accessible and environmentally friendly.
Stay tuned as we continue to follow this development closely. We can't wait to roll out more of our fleet of e-scooters across NSW, helping to make every journey a joyride!
